Matthew Rees - Player Profile Team captain who started his career at Millwall and was captain of their reserve team where he earned Wales Under-21 honours and was named as an unused substitute for Wales full International friendly against the USA after being called up for the squad by then manager Mark Hughes. Gained experience in the Conference with Aldershot and Dagenham & Redbridge while at Millwall but was released by manager Dennis Wise. Joined Swansea City on trial after his release and scored for the club against Lincoln City, the first goal scored under Kenny Jackett’s time in charge at the club. After not being offered a contract with his home town club he signed for Crawley Town before a move to Newport County and then signed for Port Talbot Town in 2004.
