25th November 2007 Win well deserved as Blues defeat local rivals The Lido arrived in confident mood after seeing some of our results of late, they started brightly and within six minutes of the start we go one down from an own goal. The boys soon bounced back and the smiles were as wide as Western Avenue with an emphatic academy win over local rivals Afan Lido. A thumping 4-1 win was well deserved, Goals from Luke Edwards (Own goal) Liam Jenkins, Oliver Bowen, Ryan McKeegan & Jordan Edwards were enough to see off the Lido. The boys were well up for it and played like they been taught, getting it wide with early delivery and the strikers on the end of it. Three of the four goals came from wide and one with some very quick feet of Jordan Edwards to seal the victory. A well deserved victory that ensured there is only one team in the borough of PORT TALBOT TOWN. Mark Pike Port Talbot Town Under-14‘s Academy Coach
