McKeegan and Silva on target in draw
A 2-2 draw was the final result on wind and rain soaked Western Avenue in this friendly match. Goals from Ryan McKeegan and a wonder strike from Chris Silva kept it 2 each. It was pleasing to see the bays once again knocking the ball around with bags of confidence but we still keep giving gifts away at the back. Ponty's first should have been dealt with ease by Aaron Ryan (gk) but slight hesitation allowed Josh Roberts to equalise against the run of play. Oliver Bowen and Sam Hodge at the back were terrific with Chris Silva dictating the game from the middle. A 2 -2 result being a fair one in poor conditions. The boys showed glimpses of character and were back to their best for 20 mins of the game, they are on their way back, training has been excellent, soon we will turn the bad corner and the smiles will keep coming back and get mixing it with the best. keep it going lads!!!!
