11th November 2007 Corcoran double seals victory A great performance today paid off with a deserved victory although it was a very tough game. Apart from Bournemouth and Oxford this team were by far the best team team we have played this season. With Macauley Ley injured in the warm-up we started with Nathan upfront alongside Calvin Wellington. Neath started the sharpest and created the best chances but they were attacking only on one side so I pushed Evan from full back to play upfront with Calvin and with Clavin playing a bit wider we looked to open them up and we did with a great ball from Calvin to Evan to make it 1-0. Neath were unlucky not to draw level with a missed penalty but we deserved our lead as the game went into the second period. Against the wind Neath equalised with a great strike and it could have gone either way. Our midfield were great again today with Gagy and Callum in complete control of the match. Ten minutes from the end of the 2nd period I switched Evan again to wide-left and agian he showed his versatility by going past one defender before a great strike made it 2-1 to the blues. In the last period both sides created chances with great defending by both sides cancelling the other out. Final score 2-1 to the Blues. I think today was our best performance of the season and again with some top individual performances and a great team effort. The only thing that spoiled the day was the attitude of the away sides coaches who were, to say the least, bad losers. Coaches Man of the Match - Evan Corcoran.
