11th November 2007 Defeat for Blues despite creating chances Its a funny old game is football, as some would say!! This weekend saw the boys come back down to earth after the 14 - 0 mauling of Barry Town last week. The boys having some mixed results this term with this weekend being no different. We certainly know how to give away gifts at the moment!!, just 3 minutes into the game and the first gift is given away and we are 1 down with some sloppy defending. The first period does not get any better and soon we are two down going into the interval. Some stern talking and some changes at H/T to the team, we start the second period fairly brightly creating one or two chances but no-one on the end to finish, by now the Neath or should I say Swansea Development Goalkeeper has had to pull off three very good saves for them to retain their lead until a lapse of concentrating and are 3 down against the run of play going into the third period. the final period saw yet another breakaway goal to end the game 4 - 0. A very heavy wind spoilt the game for both sides and it was difficult to get the ball down to play. In all fairness to the boys they did battle but with too many changes during the game made it difficult to get into a rhythm, something the coaching staff have to sort out!! The boys are finding it difficult stepping up at the moment and I have great belief that we will turn our misfortune around very soon. We are not far away from competing with the best, players who have belief and desire to work hard alongside the coaches will be better players and our misfortune will be turned around and the smiles will start to return very soon. Together we will achieve and get it right and what a way to put it right against the Lido a week on Sunday...Have great belief and desire to achieve lads!!!.
