28th October 2007 Frustrating performance as Town held by Barry This match was a very frustrating game to watch as Port Talbot were well above Barry Town all over the park (no disrespect to our opponents) but we should and could have won this game comfortably. We started ok but gave the ball away to many times as our passing was bad, Macauley Ley had two great chances but missed and that was it. I could not see us conceding a goal but couldn’t believe how slow and half hearted we were as the first period finished 0-0. The game restarted and we were poor, no very poor, it seemed as if we did not even want to be there. Barry scored two goals and they deserved them 2-0 to the home side. The last period and our players went into it after a rolicking and they new it, it was so FRUSTRATING!!!!!!!!- WE WERE A DIFFERENT TEAM! I put Evan Corcoran up-front with Calvin Wellington and we looked sharp, the game was opened up, Evan hit the post, then we had a goal disallowed for offside, then a great ball from Calvin to Evan made it 1-2. From Barry’s kick off we pounced and within 40,seconds we made it 2-2, a great strike from Gagy, Evan then had the ball over the line which the ref didn’t see (we had a top referee today he was great) and after that three further strikes, one hitting the inside of the post. We were top notch and would have won comfortably if we had played like that all game. CALVIN WELLINGTON TODAY RUN HIS SOCKS OFF, HE NEVER GETS THE CREDIT HE DESERVES. TODAY HE MADE ME PROUD, CONNOR, RHYS, RYAN AND TOM WERE ALSO BRILLIANT. MAN OF THE MATCH THOUGH WAS EVAN CORCORAN. David Davies Port Talbot Town Under-12‘s Academy Coach
