Under-12‘s hold Llanelli and almost sneak a win
With four top players out through injury we went to our 2nd FAW Academy game raw but still confident of a result but in the first five minutes of the opening period i had to adjust our team, this Llanelli team was a totally different team from three weeks ago, in fact they were TWICE THE SIZE! We had to defend as they created chance after chance and to be fair for the score to be 0-0 end of the 1st period we were lucky. In the 2nd period we went out for a battle and Conner Prosser, Cory Morris and Ryan John were our bravehearts, but also I could see the home side getting frustrated as we gave them a much tougher game and the score remained 0-0. We went into the last period and I thought lets go for it, they didn’t expect this and it nearly paid off with Ash Davies, Taylor Golding and Nathan Carter coming close to scoring. We also had the last chance of the game with Calvin Wellington through on goal and one-on-one with the keeper but his effort went just inches wide as they game finished 0-0. I was pleased with the result and performance taking into account the injuries and turning up to play a strong and very different Llanelli team. Man of the Match was Cory Morris (well done). Team - Rhys Parry, Tom Murray, Joel Healey (4 mins), Conner Prosser, Cory Morris, Ash Davies, Taylor Golding, Macauley Ley, Nathan Carter, Callum Beynon and Calvin Wellington.
