Due to a backlog of fixtures this game was agreed for double points before the match. It was a game we could not find our rhythm and we looked out of sorts, we gave the ball away and to tell the truth we were all over the place. In the first 25 minutes the away side were the brighter team although they never really caused up problems, it was Taylor who was the one player for us in the first half and who looked to create an opening. Just before half-time Lloyd was brought down and we were awarded a penalty with which Evan cooly finished to put us one goal up and half-time and lucky. After a stern team talk we dominated the first 20 minutes of the second half and Lloyd and Rory were on the scoresheet to put us 3-0 up. Again Porthcawl kept on plugging away and in the last five minutes they scored a penalty and were unlucky not to have another one from a hatful of mistakes from us. Final score 3-1 winners. A poor performance by our standards and I perhaps sometimes ask too much of them .We done Ashley great game today.
