30th September 2007 Town get pleasing result The side started off our FAW campaign with a 4-1 win but it was a mixed performance. The first period we were against the wind and it looked again an even and predictable game but we could not get into a fast or passing style of play, and to be honest the away side had the most clear cut chances as the opening quarter ended goalless. In the second part of the match I decided to change things to make us up the tempo and try to open up the game, we pushed up Taylor Golding and shuffled another two players in different roles and it worked. We started our passing game at pace and in fifteen minutes we killed the game, good work from Calvin Wellington and Macauley Ley found Taylor Golding and he made no mistake to make it 1-0, pushing and pushing we forced a corner and a great delivery was headed in by Callum Beynon with a great finish to make it 2-0. Another great move soon followed as Connor Prosser played a good ball to Macauley Ley who found Ashley Davies in space and he was able to set-up Nathan Carter who finished in superb style SMASH 3-0 (Nathan had a great game today). We were now 3-0 up for the last period I tried something different and we kept the ball well. Taylor Golding went close twice before making it 4-0 but Carmarthen pulled one back to make it 4-1, this was not a great performance but it was a very pleasing result and there are plenty of positives to take from it. I am over the moon to see us working hard in training on certain aspects of our game and today it showed as a number ofthings came off for us. Men of the Match - Conner Prosser and Taylor Golding.
