Striker Sam Baker was named in the starting line-up after returning from a loan spell at Welsh League side Ton Pentre as manager Mark Pike made a number of changes to his side and Port Talbot started the better of the two sides and created a couple of half chances in the opening exchanges. Baker came close to opening the scoring inside the opening five minutes but it was Bryntirion who opened the scoring when Max Morgan found himself clean through and goal and lifted the ball over Ryan Dummer after just eight minutes. Port Talbot came back into the match and again came close to scoring through Sam France midway through the opening half. Bryntirion went into half-time a goal ahead and extended their lead almost immediately from the re-start as Ioan Emmanuel capitalised on a saved free-kick to score from the rebound. Within ten minutes the visitors were three goals ahead when Craig Davies extended their lead with a well taken goal on 58 minutes. The third goal rattled Port Talbot and the visitors went four goals ahead when Aaron Biddescombe turned the ball into his own net from a cross after 61 minutes. With the result not in doubt substitute goalkeeper Luke Martin replaced Ryan Dummer in the Port Talbot Town goal while Bryntirion introduced substitute Davey Lavers to the game and he made an immediate impression by creating a handful of chances for his side before eventually scoring the fifth goal for Bryntirion on 85 minutes. Sam France almost scored a consolation goal but his effort hit the post before the referee brought the game to a close.
