With all local league games called off on Saturday due to the Wales International match we arranged a league game against Cwmafan for Sunday at the Welfare ground. In blustery conditions both teams set out for a game of football and Cwmafan started really well but some good defending by our back four prevented the home side from taking the lead. Taylor then started causing them problems down the left of the field and we had a few good chances but their goalkeeper was outstanding and pulled off a number of fine saves. We eventually broke through but Cwmafan kept on working hard and created a few chances for themselves. The conditions made it hard to play a passing game and the difference was that we had the players who could run with the ball at pace. Final score was 9-0. The goalscorers were Taylor (1), Chris (1), Lloyd (2), Kane (2), Michael (2) and Mark Evans (1). A special thank you to Cwmafan for agreeing to play on a Sunday.
