On a sunny fresh morning Cynffig made the long journey to Western Avenue as Glyncorrwg were unable to play the fixture. As always this game had it all, it was end to end, plenty of chances, phyiscal tackles but great to watch. The boys started well and Chay had 2 good chances early on but was unable to find the net. The second period saw Cynffig open the scoring with a controversal goal, it was one of those did it or didn't it cross the line, the referee calling over the Cynffig player to ask him honestly did it cross the line? to which he replied YES, honestly. The third period was also full of action with both teams looking for the important next goal, it went the way of Cynffig as their number 9 controlled a cross turned the defender and cooly finished. The final period saw the boys get their reward for their hard work when Max drilled home from the edge of the area and try as we might we could not get the second goal we deserved final score 1 - 2. Man Of The Match Max for working his socks off all game in the midfield and battling well their number 9 who in my eyes was their best player. Ian Wozencroft, Manager.
