On a windy Saturday morning we travelled to the seaside to play Porthcawl Whites. The boys started well knocking the ball around with confidence and we soon took the lead when kavan's shot from the edge of the area somehow managed to beat the keeper and hit the back of the net. The second period saw more of the same as we created chances but unfortunately could not find the net for the killer second goal. The third period saw alot of the play in the middle of the field as we tried to play football and Porthcawl kicked the ball long at every opportunity. Chances did come our way again Pikey somehow managed to clear the bar from 5 yards and hit the post several times ( Santa new boots please ). The final period started with a BANG as Porthcawl shot straight from the kick off Cory spilt the ball but seemed to prevent it from crossing the line and to everyones amazement the referee blew for a goal ( from the halfway line ) Some of the crowd  (Mark) vented their disagreement and the coach had a talking to from the ref when he hadn't opened his mouth!!  We carried on playing football and from another Pikey near miss the ball fell to Morgan and his shot went narrowly wide for the win we deserved, Final score 1-1, Man Of The Match for his usual hard working display both in defence and attack Pikey, on another day he would have scored 4 goals. A solid display which deserved a win but the ref's decision is final. Ian Wozencroft, Manager.
