On yet another Winters morning full of sunshine we made the journey into Neath to play Neath Boys Club. The game was played on a smaller pitch and with an extra player than what we are normally use to but it is all about learning.The first 20 minute period saw us try to pass the ball around but the radar was slightly off although we still managed to create some good chances which we couldn't take. The pleasing thing was even though things weren't coming off we were still trying and working hard. The second period saw us carry on trying to do the right thing and we were finally rewarded when Aaron scored, but to give credit to Neath they never gave up and were rewarded when they equalised from a corner with a good finish. This gave Neath confidence and they applied some good pressure which brought out the best of Cory in goals but finally some neat build up play saw a cool finish from Ashley to make it 1-2. The last few minutes saw both teams go for broke but some poor finishing and good goalkeeping kept the score as it was, final score 1-2. Individual performances of note Pikey at left fullback a constant threat going forward and solid in defence, Cory in goal great and crucial saves with quick and accurate distribution, Man Of The Match Lewis solid in defence and didn't look out of place when he switched to midfield.
