The boys travelled to Gowerton to play a strong Swansea Development team on the first weekend of the season, this game proved to be a real eye opener for the boys and a lesson in passing, positional play and fitness (The game was played over 4 fifteen minutes periods). The first period was encouraging with the boys defending well  and working hard to close down the Swansea players, although we offered little in attack we were very unlucky to concede a deflected goal. The second period saw us have to defend hard for most of the time and we conceded 3 goals, 1 from a defensive error and the other 2 totally unstopable. One being a overhead kick from a corner!!!. The third period and we were still defending but never giving up and in patches trying to play some attacking football ourselves and to the boys credit we held them out for the whole period. The final period and the boys were really feeling the pace but still giving 100% we conceded a further 3 goals but finished on a high when a training ground move involving Lewis, Corey and Morgan resulted in a goal for Kavan, final score 7-1, Man Of The Match everyone for not giving up and giving 100%.

SQUAD: William, Cory, Lewis, Ryan, Jordan, Max, Kavan, Morgan, Corey, Aaron. Ian Wozencroft, Manager.
