We started the match playing some excellent football, passing the ball from one side of the pitch to the other against another side a year younger than ourselves. I knew that we would not lose the match but there is a fear that the determination and effort of younger teams can make things difficult. However we were three goals up after 20 minutes and kept creating chance after chance and scored a further two goals before the break. I told the lads at half-time just to keep playing football and enjoy the game. The home side played the second half with great pride and actually became stronger on the ball won a number of tackles, well done to Cynffig on the spirit shown. The game finished with us winning 5-0 but ended on a sour note with two of our players being sent off for retaliating to a punch thrown by a Cynffig player. The referee had no option but to send all three players off which was a shame after such a good performance Our goalscorers on the day were Kane Devonald, Lloyd Jones, Ryan John and two from Taylor Golding.
