Match Report
Our first midweek friendly at western Avenue was against Cynffig. The opening period saw Port Talbot play some neat passing football and create some good chances, it was no surprise when Morgan opened the scoring with a good shot. The lead was doubled when Alex Williams, yes Alex Williams fired the ball into the net after some good all round team play.2-0. The second period saw Cynffig slowly come back into the game and pull a goal a back, 2-1. The third period saw Cynffig start to play some good football and score two quick goals, but the boys stuck at it and after some good work by Pikey and Ashley, Morgan scored his second with another good shot 3-3. The final period saw both teams go for the winner and play some good football in the process, with plenty of chances at both ends. The only surprise there were no more goals, final score 3-3. Man Of The Match for another solid hard working performance Pikey. A mention must go to Alex Williams who played as a make shift centre forward for the first period and scored with a cool finish, the discussion between him and his father for the monetary value of the goal went on long after the match had finished!
