Match Report
With the season finished it is now friendly time and our first friendly was against the Rangers, the team who narrowly beat us 1-0 a few weeks previous. The first period and the Athletic got into their passing and moving game pretty well and from a superb Ashley corner Ryan shot into the net from inside the area,1-0. The second period was a very even contest with both sides having chances and passing the ball very well, Lewis making some good saves from long range shots, 1-0. The third period saw the Lido with the majority of possession as they pushed for the equalizer although Lewis was up to all the shots in goal, 1-0. The final period saw both teams have a go for the crucial goal and from a corner with 3 minutes to go the Lido got their equalizer after a brief goal mouth scramble. Even after this both teams made chances to win the game although i think that a draw was a fair result, Final Score 1-1. This game had NO referee, both managers stood on the sidelines and let the boys get on with it and to their credit they never argued and produced a highly entertaining game. Man Of The Match Lewis & Lewis some great saves and tackles well done boys.
