Town comeback twice to take draw in an excellent performance
This was a game that Port Talbot were pumped up for, confident for our 1st Academy win, and how did we not win! 26 shots at goal but lady luck was not on our side, the game started well for us creating chance after chance and hitting the woodwork 3 times, Calvin wellington coming very close with the best chance of the first period. In the second period we made five changes but Llanelli upped their game and took a 1-0 lead into the last third. Port Talbot were not going to lose this game and chance after chance paid off when some great work by Taylor Golding set up Macauley Ley to make it 1-1. Being Port Talbot we pushed for the winner and Llanelli caught us on the break 2-1 but some magic from Macauley Ley with a wonder goal made it 2-2 at the final whistle. I must mention man of the match Ashley Davies who was great all game together with Callum Beynon who also played very well. Llanelli again in 3 weeks so watch this space!
