Match Report
On a fine winters morning Porthcawl were the visitors to Western Avenue to take on the Athletic. The opening period being dominated by Port Talbot and the scoring opened by guess who? Corey, cooly finishing after a determined run, this was followed by the second when a shot from Tom Philpott hit the back of the net, 2 - 0. The second period was more evenly contested with Porthcawl showing plenty of spirit and bringing the best out of William in goals, 2 - 0. The third period provided another goal this time scored by Pikey, even after he had somehow managed to tackle himself and land up face first in the grass. Shouts of "TAXI FOR PIKE" could be heard coming from the faithful Port Talbot crowd!!, 3 - 0. The final period was still being keenly contested by both sides but the cherry was put on a fine display when Pikey somehow managed to drill the ball into the net from the most obscure of angles, final score 4 - 0. Man Of The Match even after his You've Been Framed moment Pikey.
