Report by Keith Williams Match Report On a bitter cold morning at Western Avenue Porthcawl C were the visitors and although both teams were struggling in numbers it turned out to be a very entertaining game. Into the first session and Port Talbot put in a really strong performance as did a very pacy Porthcawl. This session was end to end stuff with strikes coming on a regular basis, but the best of those was to fall to Connor McCallum for Town whose shot was saved on the line, this was immediately followed by a very sharp counter attack from Porthcawl whose shot was wide ,end of the first ten and no score. Some good football followed from Port Talbot and a lovely pass from Aaron Sarich, who has now joined our team was picked up by Kelan Power who scores Town’s first of the game. Again Porthcawl tried a quick reply but missed the target, Another Port Talbot strike from Connor, but he hits the post. Porthcawl were pressing for a quick goal and got just that with a headed goal. Port Talbot came straight back and scored their second from the kick off with Aaron Sarich scoring his first of the game and a well taken goal it was 2-1. Into the third and some good defensive work by Alex Williams whose pass down the line won a corner for Town and it was from this corner that Aaron scored his second to make it 3-1. Jordan McCarthy who had a really good game for us also got onto the scoresheet to make the game 4-1 with a well taken goal. This was our last game before Xmas so it was nice to end the year with a good solid win. Well done to all the boys (and girl) in the team and a Merry Xmas. Man of the Match - Jordan McCarthy
