2nd September 2007 Defeat for injury-hit side despite creating chances With illnesses and injuries desamating the young Under-14 squad to just 12 available players we started the brighter and kept the ball well and for long periods creating a number of chances and failed to take them. However, some sloppy defending allowed Llanelli to score at the near post against the run of play and end the first half one down. This did not affect the pattern of play and we continued to dominate, again we continued to create some very good goal-scoring opportunities. A perfectly weighted corner from Sam Hodge allowed Chase Millichamp to level the score 1 -1 mid way through the second period. An injury to Luke Edwards allowed a Llanelli midfielder to shoot from 25 yards into the back of the net ending the second period 2-1 down. The third period was difficult and sloppy from both sides, the result ending in a 2-1 defeat. Mark Pike Port Talbot Town Under-14‘s Academy Coach
