Cwmafan BGC Under-10‘s 1

Match Report
The Town Under 10‘s were back at Western Avenue for this one. On a cold sunny day this game started poorly as far as Town were concerned with Cwmavon making the most of our patchy performance. Indeed they had a good few chances and scored a good goal from one of their better moves, a lot of pressure was put on our boys who really weren’t in this game, with only Kelan Power getting a notable strike just before the whistle 0-1. Into the second 10 minutes and no real change, from the kick off it went straight up to Cwmavon`s end, going for a corner, and then Jordan McCarthy kicking it wide of goal. Town were now starting to creep into this game and were starting to put on the pressure, with another strike from Jade Dawkins saved by their goalie. Kavan Williams was now getting this game going from the middle, with some nice running and passing, and it was Kavan who scored the goal to make it 1-1. Into the third session, and with some nice words from Carl Power (coach) there was no going back. Cwmavon were tiring and Port Talbot really putting up a fight. William Fox pulled off a great save for Town, before Kelan Power scored our 2nd third 10 over and Port Talbot lead 2-1.T he last session started with a quick strike from Cwmavon, who were trying to get back into this game, but going wide with the shot. This was followed by a great attacking move from Town, and Connor Margetson making it 3-1. Cwmavon kick off, but Connor nicks the ball immediately and races away to make it 4-1. This was now all Port Talbot, Jordan McCarthy breaks away 5-1. It was now constant pressure from Town, and another great attacking move resulted with a fine goal from Kelan Power scoring his second and Port Talbot’s 6th.
This was a good display from our lads,up against a determined Cwmavon team. Well done boys.
