Match Report
Port Talbot Town visited the green stars playing feilds today,and with our man of the match from last week (Kelan)not available, and a couple of boys feeling unwell (flu), We knew this was going to be tough. We found ourselves a couple of goals down in the first 10 minutes against a determined Lido side, We again started with James in goal due to William turning up late. There was a better performance in the second 10 and the Lido did not get it all their own way, the longer this game went on, the better Town were getting, and the boys were a good match for the Rangers. Some really good strikes were to come from James Borkett & Ryan Harding, but it was left to Connor Margetson to break into their box and score from close range. Lido scored again soon after, and this was followed by a really good pass from Kavan Williams who found Jordan McCarthy, with a powerful shot being tipped away for a corner. Into the third session , and it started with some nice passing, and some real good teamwork, with Alex Williams working hard this session, trying a shot from halfway only for the goalie to drop to Connor Margetson who shoots and once again is pushed round for a corner. This was a hard days work for the boys today, who done well against a strong Lido Rangers team who eventually ran out 4-1 winners. Well done Port Talbot.
