Experienced defender who has made over 50 Welsh Premier League appearances during spells at Caersws and Aberystwyth Town. Started his career as a YTS player at Shrewsbury Town before signing for Bridgend on his release. Moved to Newport County before joining the Welsh Premier League with Caersws. After a brief move to Aberystwyth Town in 2007, Grist played for Dinas Powys then moved to the United States Soccer League where he signed for Canadian side Toronto Lynx. Signed for Port Talbot Town on his return to Wales in 2009.
