Duncan Roberts - Player Profile
Started his career in the youth ranks at Norwich City in the 1990’s before joining
Mansfield, King’s Lynn, Spalding, Harrow Borough, St. Albans and Bedford Town before
earning a trial at Oldham Athletic were he played on a non-contract basis and then
had a trial at Luton Town. Moved to the Welsh Premier League with Barry Town but
made just one appearance during the clubs financial crisis and signed for Newport
County. Roberts returned to England with Cambridge City in 2004 but left the following
season to start-up a business in South Wales and signed for Llanelli. A recurring
knee injury forced him out of the game in November 2008 and he has recently been
part of the coaching staff at Barry Town. Signed for Port Talbot Town in February
2010 as cover for regular goalkeeper Lee Kendall.
